Tinesha Zandamela is a third-year law student living in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband. Throughout her life, community involvement has been deeply important to her, especially as a Black woman and daughter of an immigrant. Tinesha is an honors graduate of Brigham Young University with degrees in Sociology and French. As a student at BYU, she ran for Provo City Council in 2017 and co-founded the BYU Women of Color Club. She is the author of “Pioneer Day” (Dialogue, Fall 2019) and “The Least of These” (BYU Studies Quarterly, Vol. 61, 2022).
