Jordan Harvey is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada and a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He comes from a part-member family with interracial parents. Jordan served in the Chile Rancagua Mission before attending Brigham Young University and teaching at the Missionary Training Center. Following college, Jordan attended the George Washington University Law School and now practices law in the Washington, DC area. In 2017, he co-founded the BYU Black Alumni Society and currently serves on its board of directors. Jordan enjoys cooking, discussing politics, and spending time with his wife, Tinesha.
