Dan McClellan introduces us to the books of the Old Testament with scholarship and testimony.

Dan McClellan’s research focuses on the languages and history of the Bible, as well as on the conceptualization of deity, of scripture, and of religious identity through the methodological lenses of cognitive linguistics and the cognitive science of religion. He is the author of the popular new book The Bible Says So as well as the open-access book, YHWH’s Divine Images: A Cognitive Approach (published by the Society of Biblical Literature). He received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in ancient Near Eastern studies, majoring in Biblical Hebrew and minoring in Classical Greek. He holds a master’s degree in Jewish studies at the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in biblical studies from Trinity Western University and he holds a PhD in theology and religion from the University of Exeter.
