Michael Hubbard MacKay

MICHAEL HUBBARD MACKAY is an associate professor of religion in the Department of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University and a former historian for the Joseph Smith Papers Project. He is the author of several books including, Prophetic Authority: Democratic Hierarchy and the Mormon Priesthood (Urbana, Chicago, and Springfield: University of Illinois Press, 2020). He is the co-editor of Producing Ancient Scripture (Salt Lake City: University of Utah Press, 2020).
