Patrick Mason holds the Leonard J. Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture at Utah State University, where he is an associate professor of religious studies and history.  He is the author or editor of several books, including Mormonism and Violence: The Battles of Zion and Planted: Belief and Belonging in an Age of Doubt.  He is a past board member and chair of the Dialogue Foundation.
