Her research interests include rhetorics of space, 19th century women’s rhetorics, and Mormon women’s rhetorics. She is currently an assistant professor at Southern Utah University, where she also directs the writing center. Outside of academia, she’s the mother of three children, the wife of a chemistry professor, and an author of young adult novels, including a historical fantasy trilogy, Blood Rose Rebellion (set in Hungary, where she served a mission), and the AML and Whitney award-winning BEYOND THE MAPPED STARS.
