TONA HANGEN is a Ph.D. candidate and a Crown Fellow in the History of American Civilization program at Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts, and is currently writing her doctoral dissertation, "Redeeming the Dial: Evangelical Radio and Religious Culture, 1920-1960." She and her husband, Don, and their two sons live on a small farm in Massachusetts.
