LISA RUMSEY HARRIS {[email protected]} is the author of The Unlikely Gift of Treasure Blume. She received a Sunstone award for her short story “Topless in Elko” and a Moonstone for “The Resurrection of the Bobcat.” She also writes personal essays, including the titular essay for Why I Don’t Hide My Freckles Anymore, published by Deseret Book, and “Honor in the Ordinary” first place winner in the Heather Campbell Personal Essay Contest at Segullah. She teaches writing courses part-time at Brigham Young University. She and her husband are raising four strong confident daughters in the shadows of Utah’s mountains.
