GARY L. SHUMWAY is Assistant Professor of History at California State University, Fullerton. Not only has the oral history program which he helped establish at Fullerton become recognized as a model of its kind, but he has helped other universities as well as the Historical Department of the Church in estab￾lishing and expanding their oral history programs.
