Douglas Summers Stay
DOUGLAS SUMMERS STAY {[email protected]} earned a BA from BYU, MS from New York University, and a PhD from the University of Maryland. While at BYU he served as editor of The Leading Edge Magazine of Science Fiction and Fantasy. He works for the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, Maryland. He is the author of Machinamenta: The Thousand Year Quest to Build a Creative Machine. This stylized translation of Genesis was written with the aid of a kind of alliterative dictionary assistant that he generated using artificial intelligence techniques.
