Alleen Pace Nilsen

ALLEEN PACE NILSEN is assistant vice president for academic affairs at Arizona State University. With her husband, Don L. F. Nilsen, she was co-chair of the WHIM Humor Conferences at ASU from 1981-87. She presented a version of this essay at the Seventh WHIM Humor Conference at Purdue University, 1-4 April 1988.
