Nathan Hamaker is an ophthalmologist and has been involved in this field for 26 years.

Valerie is a licensed professional counselor and before starting the Latter Day Struggles podcast and platform she owned and operated a private counseling practice and trained and instructed several masters level graduate students.

Val & Nathan started the Latter Day Struggles podcast in mid-2022 and ever since then they have enjoyed working with thousands of people in faith crisis in the LDS Church through their podcast, healing groups, and Valerie’s consulting work and online classes focused on helping couples and families struggling to adapt to mixed- faith marriage and family life.
When not changing the Mormon world one episode at a time , they love traveling, snow skiing, playing on their boat with their children, and eating frozen custard.
