Kieth A. Crandall

KEITH A. CRANDALL is the Thomas L. Martin Professor of Biology with a joint appointment in the Department of Integrative Biology and Department of Mi￾crobiology & Molecular Biology at Brigham Young University. He earned his Ph.D. in Population Genetics and Evolutionary Biology and an MA in Statistics at Washington University. His research focuses on population dynamics and evolution of infectious diseases, the development, testing and implementation of bioinformatics approaches to nucleotide sequence data analysis, and the sys￾tematics of crustaceans. He is in his eighth year at BYU with continuous fund￾ing from the National Institute of Health, the National Science Foundation, and other private foundations. He has published nearly 100 papers in scientific jour￾nals. Dr. Crandall is married to Cynthia Christie Crandall, and they have four wonderful children.
