Acknowledgements
In 1986 Gary Gillum began compiling this comprehensive twenty-volume index, completing volume 20 by late 1987. Working in the last year of Jack and Linda Newell's editorship, Lavina Fielding Anderson and Susette Fletcher Green completed the first copy editing and turned the project over to the new editorial team working with Kay and Ross Peterson. The journal remained on schedule, but the index was set aside for several months in the transition. Pamela Jensen and Anne Clark retyped the edited index in a sortable word processing format, and Daniel Maryon edited and sorted the final product. Final proofing was done by the current volunteer proofinglediting staff.
Although the index arrived later than expected, buoyed along by many cheerful and willing volunteers and staff members, it is, we hope, worth the wait.
—Daniel Maryon
As editors of Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought, we want to thank those who worked so hard to produce this twenty-volume index. Gary Gillum has helped index Dialogue for years and performed an exceptional service by compiling this comprehensive index. Susan B. Taber continues to compile our annual index which provides the base for the twenty-volume project.
Daniel Maryon completed the task of preparing the index for publication. Few people know and understand both the journal and word processing as well as Daniel Maryon and his service is most appreciated. All of those who assisted in typing, copy editing, and proofing devoted countless hours to this assignment. Dialogue attracts people who care and this project brought together some of the best.
Finally, a special thanks to those subscribers who contributed financially to this project, thus making it possible.
